Historic Preservation: Northwest Modern Architecture in North Seattle

843 NE 100th St entry, post, wall

Geometric forms, flat planes and lines are characteristic of Northwest Modern architecture. The house at 843 NE 100th Street has a sloping roof supported by a post at the front corner, creating an entryway. A wall created by the brick fireplace divides the carport (to the right) from the entry space and the house.
